This page is devoted to wallpapers.  Most are of rocks, but a few are just other cool or cute pics I've taken.  Also available for download is the IrfanView 3.07 image editor program which I use to edit all my photos.  Version 3.07  is my favorite but the most current version (as of 28 Jul 02) is 3.75 which can be downloaded at their site.  While 3.07 is still my workhorse for editing photos (due to it's speed and simplicity), the 3.75 version has many useful features which I also use -- so I run both!  Both are freeware and the author has given us permission distribute it.

All photos are cropped to 1024x768 and saved with 80% quality to keep file size low.  I used to not spend so much time editing a photo, but now I do quite a bit at times as I photograph under different light.  However, this editing is always done to make the photo look like the real deal, not "better than life."

On the other hand, for the wallpaper nature shots, I've use PhotoLine 32 to do some serious editing on some photos.  I'm not an expert by any means, but I like this software package much better than PSP (which I also have but never use) and the support is top-rate!  If you do any photo editing, please drop by their website and give it a try!  Anyway, I use PL32 to edit out "distractions" such as telephone poles, people, etc.  It's a lot of work, but I hate to see a beautiful sunset pic "blemished" with telephone poles!  I often use a combination of IrfanView and PL32.

Almost all of the photographs have been taken with the Canon PowerShot G1 (a few were shot with my previous camera, the Epson PhotoPC 850Z) at 2048x1536 with SuperFine JPG compression, but since April 2002 I've been using the Canon Powershot G2.

One last thing, you may distribute these photos freely, use them commercially, or whatever.  I only ask that you give me the credit for their source.  Thanks a lot, and enjoy!

If you have any comments, please email me -- enjoy!
